Drone must be detected first in order to disable drone systems. Visual detection of drones can be difficult because the dimensions of the threat are very small and sometimes visual contact is not possible due to weather conditions. On the other hand, due to the very short visual detection distance of the drones, it is too late to prevent the danger. For this reason, radar systems stand out as the most critical system for detection of mini/micro UAVs in long range. Retinar FAR-AD Drone Detection Radar, developed by Meteksan Savunma, is a radar system to enable security against mini/micro unmanned aerial vehicles. Retinar FAR-AD can automatically scan large areas and low altitude air space as as the primary sensor of the security forces against drones and ground threats. Retinar FAR-AD provides effective protection against low altitude Mini/Micro UAV’s, with it is 40 degree elevation angle. 

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY AND DIGITAL RADAR ARCHITECTURE

Retinar FAR-AD Drone Detection Radar operates on Ku band frequency with low RF output. It has an advanced technology solid state radio frequency design and digital radar architecture. Retinar FAR-AD uses a customized pulse-compression Doppler waveform and offers effective modes of operation through various waveforms and angular rotation speeds with its digital radar architecture. Retinar FAR-AD has 10/100Mbps Ethernet data interface and 220 VAC power interface, communicates with GUI on laptop or RIU software via Ethernet.
