Nigerian army makes artisanal APC Armored Personnel Carriers

As shown on pictures published by Defense News Nigeria on its Twitter account, local creations in the field of armored vehicles, ranging from light tactical vehicles to heavy MRAP APCs, are booming. This activity is really dynamic.
This time, armored APCs are manufactured on truck chassis. How far preliminary plans are drawn or not remains unclear but the creativity demonstrated by the men building these vehicles is undisputable. Unfortunately, one nearly never sees these vehicles during actual operations, which would be of the utmost interest, namely in the rainy season and on difficult terrain.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the Nigerian Army Combat Arms Training Week in April 2019 at the shooting range of Nigerian Army Infantry Corps, Tukur Buratai, Chief of Army Staff, claimed that “The innovations by the Nigerian Army in the areas of equipment production, localizing and bringing back vehicles and equipment that are hitherto abandoned, is another major achievement that we recorded".
