North Korea launches new heavily armed submarine

For quite some time now, some interesting elements have been released on social media about a possible launching a new submarine and submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM). Indeed, those State-of-the-art technologies, currently under construction, have been quoted as possible new strategic weapons that the communist nation could show off in the near future.
According to Yonhap Agency, the South Korean intelligence authorities said they have been closely monitoring the North's activities regarding preparation for the launching of a new submarine destined to the North Korean Navy.
Recently, the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un convened a meeting of the Central Military Commission of the ruling Worker's Party and discussed "new policies for further increasing the nuclear war deterrence.
For the record, North Korea revealed its latest indigenous submarine on 23rd July 2019. Footage showed the communist leader, Kim Jong Un, inspecting the submarine, under construction in Sinpo shipyard. This new submarine appears to be based on the late 50ies Romeo-class, Soviet design and is likely able to deploy a limited number of submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBM).
In October 2019, North Korea launched a submarine-based missile Pukkykson-3 with a range of 450 km from a submarine or a submerged platform.
The North Korean Navy (KPN) has a large number of submarines in its fleet. Probably several dozens, most of them qualified as midget submarine range from 20 to 40 meters in length. But most of them were known to be outdated and unfit for operations beyond coastal waters.
